Yosemite Village Day Parking Area.  Miles may be less if they have reopened Sentinel Drive. Otherwise we may need to detour around by way of Curry Village.

ENTRANCE FEES:

Golden Age Passport - $10.00 one person in the car must be 62 older.  This entitles you to enter any national park at no charge for the rest of your life.

Regular entrance fee - $20.00, which is good for 7days.

LUNCH: Village Grill and Degnan’s Deli & Café

(located within walking distance from parking area)

Since we are large, we will need to split into smaller groups. A few of you may also decide on having lunch at The Ahwahnee which is farther away and a bit more expensive.

EXPLORE TIME:  The rest of the afternoon will also have to be done in small groups or individually, since we will be traveling by foot and/or shuttle bus.  Reference the copy of "Yosemite Today" that you receive as you enter the park.  This shows the shuttle bus route.  Each couple can decide how much time they wish to spend in the valley and when they want to return to their motel.

EVENING:

Wine get-together is hosted by Steve & Cleo in their room at the Yosemite View Lodge. Check with the front desk for room number.

Dinner will be held in a private area of the Yosemite View Lodge restaurant.

DAY 2of 3

TBD

We have planned to travel to Mono Lake and Lee Vining via Tuolumne Meadows and Tioga Pass.

When we find out if the pass will be open, I will send you a more detailed description of that part of the tour.  If it turns out that it will not be open, I will let you know far enough in advance so that you can cancel your motel reservations in Lee Vining or make other arrangements.

Alternative Route:

We can still go to Lee Vining via Hwy108 and Sonora Pass.  It's about 150 miles farther, but it's a nice drive, and we would be happy to lead whatever part of the group wishes to continue with the original plan to include Mono Lake, etc.  We will keep you posted.

Meanwhile, if you have any other questions, call Steve Postle at 408•2703
